UIL VM Manager → Writer Recommandé

Reads the stick back to verify the write, shows progress and ejects the device safely.

Linux

Find the device with diskutil list, unmount it, then write to the raw device — it is much faster.

Windows

Rufus (choose DD mode) or balenaEtcher — third-party tools.

Disque interne

Same as the USB command, pointing at the internal disk (for example /dev/nvme0n1). Warning: this erases that disk.

VPS

Use the Installeur réseau (ISO) disc on the download page — there is no separate VPS download.

Redémarrez, choisissez la clé USB, puis sélectionnez Live Desktop pour essayer ou Install takhiOS pour installer. Fonctionne en BIOS et en UEFI.

•a clean machine to build on — services, containers, a web stack, your own tooling — on a VPS or an old box.
•you administer it over SSH and want sensible security defaults without configuring them: key-only SSH, no root password login, firewall open only for SSH, automatic security updates, and a serial console.

•you want a graphical desktop — install Desktop, Xfce or KDE instead.
•you need a graphical installer session — use the desktop or Xfce image, or the net-install disc.

•add your SSH public key before relying on remote access; root password login over SSH is refused by design.
•security updates are installed automatically; a reboot waits while a transfer is running and retries later rather than interrupting work.
•the same Resize storage boot entry grows the root if you did not use the whole disk.

What it is:: no desktop at all — a text console on serial (ttyS0) and over SSH. Nothing is drawn, nothing idles in a graphical session.
Who it suits:: servers, VPS machines and boxes you administer remotely.
First minutes:: set up SSH keys before you depend on remote access; on a server image the root password does not allow SSH login.
Expect:: a boot log instead of a splash, and the smallest footprint of any tier (~512 MiB recommended, guidance).
