Reads the stick back to verify the write, shows progress and ejects the device safely.

Same as the USB command, pointing at the internal disk (for example /dev/nvme0n1). Warning: this erases that disk.
Use the Installeur réseau (ISO) disc on the download page — there is no separate VPS download.

3 · Démarrer et installer
Redémarrez, choisissez la clé USB, puis sélectionnez Live Desktop pour essayer ou Install takhiOS pour installer. Fonctionne en BIOS et en UEFI.

Quand l'utiliser
- •older laptops and desktops, or machines with around 2 GiB of memory.
- •you prefer panels and menus over a modern shell.
Quand ne pas l'utiliser
- •you want current GNOME or Plasma features and effects.
- •you expect a desktop that looks new — this one deliberately looks classic.
Premier démarrage
- •the Whisker menu (top-left) holds the Installer, VM Manager and Backuper.
- •same encrypted-disk behaviour and the same Resize storage entry as the other tiers.
- •if the machine feels slow, check the compositor is off (Settings → Window Manager Tweaks) — Xfce does not need it.

- What it is:
- a light, traditional desktop. Panels and menus, plain windows, no compositing by default. It behaves the same on old hardware as on new.
- Who it suits:
- older laptops, 2 GiB machines, or anyone who prefers a classic layout and does not want a desktop that decides things for them.
- First minutes:
- the Whisker menu (top-left) holds the Installer, VM Manager and Backuper. Panel settings are under Settings, not hidden in extensions.
- Expect:
- the lightest desktop here and the quickest to feel familiar (~2 GiB recommended, guidance). It will not look modern, by design.
